Christy Murray's Tin Whistle

D whistle

Christy Murray is a gifted performer and music teacher from Raphoe who plays many instruments, including the keyboard, tin whistle and bagpipes.
He teaches tin whistle in Ballyraine N.S. every Wednesday to 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th classes and always makes his classes fun and interesting, with games, quizzes and individual performances by the children during every lesson as well as fun talent shows. In order to help children practise at home, we are going to upload on this page over the next few months some simple recordings made by Mrs. Wilkinson of Mr. Murray playing tunes slowly that the pupils learn. We hope that this will particularly help children who are not, at first, familiar with the tunes to hear the rhythms and learn the tunes. Have fun!
